A SIGNATURE WILL BE REQUIRED UPON DELIVERY. ORDERS PAID FOR VIA CARD CAN ONLY BE SHIPPED TO THE CARD BILLING ADDRESS.

It is the buyers responsibility to ensure that someone is available to take delivery.

We love what we do; we too love the experience of receiving a box full of new plants and seeing what's inside. We appreciate your custom and want shopping with us to be a pleasurable experience and hope that all of our customers will return to us in the future

In addition to those specifics already mentioned on the website or by verbal/ email agreement or notification by placing an order you are agreeing to all the conditions and terms stated: Please Email us with any queries prior to ordering.

All prices are as stated. We don not charge any VAT on orders. Prices do not include Postage, Packaging and Handling charges unless stated. (Customers outside Mainland UK please contact us for postage details).

We are strictly a Mail Order business and do not under any circumstances allow collection. Plants are grown at a separate site to our mailing address and due to the extremely busy nature of the business and legalities required if we were to open to the public we do not allow collection so please do not request this.

If you pay via card your statement will show "Nochex" our secure payment merchant.Payment is taken immediately upom placing your order. We currently allow you to accept the following credit cards: MasterCard, Visa, Switch, Solo, Visa Debit (Delta) *, Visa Electron, Maestro * Some older Visa Debit cards may carry the "Delta" logo on the card. They can also be identified by the word "Debit" printed on the front of the card.

Seed Orders. In addition to our information within the seed section of the site and under "seed orders" we state the following:All seed is open grown so there is always a chance of mother nature mixing things up and yu getting the odd colour surprise etc and by purchasing you are agreeing that we cannot guarantee that plants will be exactly as described. Seed is as fresh as possible and sent out in little clear packets with labels. We take no responsibility for your germination, seed is stored at approx 4 degrees to keep fresh and your germination success is down to your ability. We will not replace seeds for any reson eg poor germination and so on, it is either freshly harvested here or from very reputable sources and we have no problems.

All Paintings & Artwork are non return/refundable sale items priced to clear, they are the final available pieces from our large range. Monitor and photography may alter colour so changes in actual piece may occur. All items listed as reduced/sale/to clear etc are strictly non returnable under any circumstances

Orders do not become contracts until we have accepted the order and payment amount, this is to ensure that any incorrect pricing or unavailability can be corrected prior to accepting the order. We retain the right to cancel any order without prior notice

All plants unless stated otherwise will be sent Ex-pot, removed from their pot and packed carefully to ensure safe transit. Agaves will have soil and pot removed, simply pot up with a gritty mix and be very sparing with water. The roots will appear dry and short/few this is how agaves are posted, they will soon root up and take off if you care for them correctly. Please see our plant care page.

Obviously plants do not look at thier best all year round later in the year through winter and early in the year plants will look tatty or foliage will have died back etc. Plants will be fine once warner weather starts them back into natural growth. Potted plants will begin to look tired before garden grown plants and you are accepting this when ordering due to the additional stresses of pot culture.

We cannot be held responsible for your products once they are in your care, the plants are picked, packed and posted with care and are dispatched in the stated condition, you are advised to read up on the internet about your purchase there is a wealth of knowledge to help you to grow your plants to perfection.

Orders will be dispatched promptly in a first come first, served basis. Orders are dealt with quickly and we will try to notify our intentions regarding sending the order. We only dispatch orders on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays so that there is little chance of plants being in the hands of the couriers over weekends etc. We aim to dispatch within 7 days after payment clearance unless stated otherwise or notified by us (Exceptions to this is products are on order/ backorder and holiday season etc. In exceptionally busy times order processing may take up to two weeks so it is advisable to order early to avoid disappointment. We reserve the right to delay shipment in particularly bad weather or in adverse circumstances to ensure your products reach you in peak condition. The 1-2 day courier service is from date of dispatch NOT receipt of order

Products will not under any circumstance be dispatched until after payment clearance. If you place an order and intend to pay via any method other than card, payment must be received within 5 working days or your order will be cancelled. We reserve the right to relist products for sale after 5 days of contract agreement whether verbal or otherwise. If payment is received after 5 working days we may offer at our discretion complete the order. We cannot be held responsible for forces of nature, courier service delays and so on.

A signature will be required upon delivery. It is the buyers responsibility to ensure that they are available to take delivery. The courier company will have its own protocol but in the event of an item being returned you will be required to pay an additional postage and handling charge to account for the cost and time. When you make a purchase you are agreeing to this.

The courier will deliver to the address stated, think carefully upon ordering which delivery address is most appropriate to ensure the work can be received.

Should your parcel be damaged uopn arrival ask the driver how to sign, for instance you may write parcel damaged on arrival etc or you may refuse to accept delivery. The driver will advise the best option. In the case of damages packages you must retain all packaging and contend or your claim will be invalid. Please contact us if unsure for help.

Products will be sent via the most appropriate means, this then allows us to cater for different sizes, destinations* and so on. Products dispatched will be fully insured in transit, or as stated. This is included in the postage price. (See plant Delivery if ordering plants)

We try to be as environmentally friendly as possible therefore often recycle packaging. We do our best to get the work to you safely via. The packaging may not always be the prettiest but it is better than a pretty box with damaged contents!

We aim to list items as accurately as possible based on the information that we are given, in the event of an item being found to be differing we cannot be held responsible, we do everything we can to list items correctly.

It must be taken into account that monitor settings, lighting and photography can affect images by purchasing you are accepting these terms. Items may also vary slightly in appearance and size from the image and description shown particularly with "stock" items where we will pick one from a number of products, you are accepting this when placing your order. We try to give an indication of sizes with the item.

All items remain the property of Exotic Unusual until paid for in full.

All sizes quoted on the website are approximate, for agaves etc sizes given are longest point eg in upright approx base of plant to tip and in more horizontal plants tip to tip on widest point.All agaves sale items reduced to clear, there may be the odd damaged leaf /tip or minor bug damage etc as you would expect, pics give an indication of stock available.

We cannot be liable for accidents beyond our control. It is the consumers responsibility to take care of themselves and the item. We strongly advise caution when unpacking and dealing with plants; Agaves in particular are designed to fend off predators! Some plants are poisonous, we try to state this where possible, we strongly advise that these be kept out of children and pets reach. Care should be taken when handling and remember to wash your hands afterwards

We are not liable for any disruption/ strikes / delay by Courier companies or for Force Majeure.

We reserve the right to keep information about you for our business purposes, we will not use this information against you or in any way that we feel you would be unhappy with. We will not pass your information on to third parties. Please email us if you would like to be removed from our mailing list.

We will shred and destroy any documentation, incorrect cheques etc payments rather than return via mail.

Grown to order/bespoke products are strictly non returnable.

Perishable and used goods are strictly non returnable

Prices are subject to change without notification, all prices supersede those previous.

We cannot alter details once deliveries are booked, nor be held responsible for them once they have been dispatched. It is your responsibility to ensure someone trustworthy can take delivery, if the courier cannot make the delivery as noone is in etc at the given address and leaves with a neighbour or you ask for a neighbours etc to take delivery this is your responsibility. The courier will not leave in porches/ gardens etc as you are not insured.

Returns Policy

Please check your purchase immediately upon receiving it and let us know within 24 hours of its arrival if there is a problem to enable us to assist. If a parcel appears damaged please speak to the driver/sign accordingly. We cannot be liable if you sign for a damaged parcel.

We prefer in all cases that customers do not return plants, firstly we hope you shouldn't need to as we hope you will be happy with your purchase and agreed to the terms upon placing your order. But mainly because these are live plants that are disturbed when removed from thier pots and then shipped. To then return plants, leaving them in un-natural conditions again is not healthy for them, and just think you wouldn't want to buy a plant that had been through that, you would like plants to be in thier best condition. In the case of returns you must advised us and we will issue a returns number that you will need to send back with the item without this number we cannot document returns so do not send back without this authorisation. All items must be returned within 7 days maximum. We will not accept any returns after this period. (In the case of an item being returned after this period we would issue a new Postage, package and Handling charge to send the item back to you.)

All Artwork is listed to the best of our abilities although minor mistakes may occur. If there is a problem with your item please contact us within 24 hours so we can address the issue. In the case of damaged items we will offer a replacement/ repair where possible in the first instance or a refund. Due to the handmade nature of our Artwork/natural materials there may be minor flaws. We may ask you to return the damaged items please contact us first and we will advise. We will refund/ replace damaged items unless stated otherwise.

It is the buyers responsibility in the event of a return to pay all associated fees these will include initial Postage, Packaging and Handling Charges to get the work to you originally and full costs of returning the item via a signed for delivery service (Proof of Posting is not Proof of Delivery). We will charge a 30% fee of return total for restocking. These costs are non-negotiable and you accept this upon ordering

Contracts can only be cancelled up to 7 days after you have received an item. You must notify us of this cancellation in writing prior to returning any products this may be via email with full information as to why and your order details. You must email us in the case of returning an item so we can provide you with the necessary information. We will not accept unauthorised returns. You are liable for the safe care of products whilst in your hands. You must return products in thier original state and packaging or better packaging if applicable. In the case of items being received with damaged packaging you must keep the original packaging (however damaged) if we are to claim against the courier company (advise us in the first instance). We cannot under any circumstances issue refunds if we are claiming against the courier company until the claim has been settled and where applicable we are refunded. Plants etc retuned in poor condition will not be accepted and any claims will be void.

We will not provide refunds/ replacements where we feel that you have not taken proper care of your purchase or treated it in a way that would cause damage. We do not offer plant guarantees as they leave the nursery in fine condition and the subsequent care of the plant is up to the customer. We will not provide replacements where an item was offered as a sale or reduced item that is non returnable. No refund will be given for damaged/non returned goods so please insure any returns.

In the event of a parcel being damaged etc you must keep all associated packaging and items to pursue a claim until the claim is settled, failing to do this means no claim can be processed.
